How To Set Up The Homepage

1 min read

After importing a Buldiva demo using the Setup Wizard, the homepage is automatically assigned for you.

You do not need to configure anything manually if you are using the imported demo homepage.

However, if you create a new page and want to use it as your homepage instead, you can easily change it from the WordPress settings.

Set A Different Page As The Homepage #

  • Go to Pages → Add New
  • Create your new homepage
  • Edit the page with Elementor and click Publish

After your new page is ready:

  • Go to Settings → Reading
  • Find the option:

Your homepage displays

  • Select:

A static page

  • In the Homepage dropdown, choose the page you want to use
  • Click Save Changes

Your selected page will now become the homepage of your website.

Example #

If you created a new page called:

Home Custom

Then inside Settings → Reading you would select:

  • Homepage: Home Custom

After saving, visitors will see that page when they open your website.

Optional: Set A Blog Page #

If you also want a separate page for blog posts:

  • Create a new page called Blog
  • Go to Settings → Reading
  • In the Posts page dropdown, select the Blog page
  • Save Changes

Example:

  • Homepage: Home Custom
  • Posts Page: Blog

This will keep your homepage and blog page separated.

Alternative Method From The Customizer #

You can also change the homepage from:

Appearance → Customize → Homepage Settings

Then:

  • Select A Static Page
  • Choose your desired homepage
  • Click Publish
